School History

Landa International Christian Academy (LICA) began in 2012 from a divine vision to establish an international Christian school within our residential community, as parents were spending long hours driving to Kampala. After years of preparation, the school officially launched in January 2019 with the Cambridge curriculum. Although progress was disrupted by COVID-19, a prayerful shift in 2025 led to the adoption of the ACE curriculum, aligning with our mission to nurture individualized learning, spiritual growth, and character development. Today, LICA stands as a testimony of faith, perseverance, and a commitment to Christian education.

LICA began with just one student, Peter Kirunda—our pioneer learner who, sadly, graduated to glory on December 25, 2019. Soon after, the number grew to five, then twenty students enrolled across Daycare, Special Programs, and Kindergarten to Year 2. Rooted in a vision to reimagine Christian education, LICA embraced individualised learning, mastery, and character development. From these humble beginnings, it has grown into a nurturing environment shaped by faith, love, and innovation.

Today, LICA continues to grow, staying committed to educational innovation. It serves as a thriving school and an incubator for new teaching practices, uniquely integrating the ACE curriculum with business entrepreneurship skills and worship creative arts—nurturing each child’s spiritual growth, creativity, leadership, and lifelong learning.

Our story from a divine vision to create an international Christian school in a residential setting.
