SERVICE LEARNING

Service learning is a key part of the excellent educational experience offered at the Landa International Christian Academy. As a British Cambridge National Academy , our curriculum programmes are designed to develop young people who will create a better and more peaceful world.

Early Years

Action and the decision to take action are core expectations of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage  (EYFS).  The EYFS encourages students to initiate action in response to and as part of their inquiries.  These may take a variety of forms such as:

  • a change in attitude
  • a plan of action for the future
  • demonstration of responsibility for self, others and the environment
  • commitment to join an advocacy group
  • engaging in school or community decision making

The EYFS encourages opportunities to experience service actions as part of an inquiry are some of the ways we encourage students to participate in service and experience the impact of action.

  • A global learner in a local context

  • A flexible approach

  • An aligned programme based on the latest research
