TRIPS & VISITS
Learning experiences are at the heart of our philosophy of learning at the Landa International Christian Academy (LICA) and we provide a range of opportunities for learning beyond the Academy campus.
Day Trips
We have developed strong partnerships with a number of organisations, businesses and community initiatives who work with us to support learning across the Academy. These day trips are generally used by the Early Years and Primary Stage Students.

Overnight Trips
Primary Stage
In the Primary Stage, we have three year levels that take part in overnight trips.
- Year 3 – we have a stargazing experience, where students stay overnight at school along with telescopes, stargazing and a campfire.
- Year 4 – students have a two day overnight trip to Jinja where they visit the hydroelectric dam and look at other local power generation initiatives such as solar power and biomass energy.
- Year 5 – students have a three day overnight trip to Jinja to help prepare for the Primary Stage and work together as they prepare for the final learning experience of the PYP.
